Lab-tested IAQ and mold sampling — IAC2 certified

Indoor Air Quality & Mold Testing in Orange County

When something doesn't smell right or look right, we sample, lab-test, and tell you what's actually in the air. IAC2 Mold Certified and AIHA-accredited lab partners.

Trident's indoor air quality and mold testing services collect air, surface, and ARMS samples from your Orange County property and submit them to an AIHA-accredited lab for analysis. We're IAC2 Mold Certified and provide clear, actionable reports — not the inflated scare-tactic summaries common in the remediation industry.

Why It Matters

Why mold & iaq testing matters in Orange County

Coastal Orange County's marine humidity, slab-on-grade construction, and aging plumbing combine to make mold one of the most common hidden defects we encounter. Stachybotrys, Aspergillus, and Penicillium colonies are not rare — they're the norm in homes with chronic moisture issues.

We test, we don't remediate. That distinction matters: our findings are not biased toward selling you a $20,000 remediation. If the lab says the air is clean, we tell you that.

Our Process

How a Trident inspection works

  1. Step 01

    Visual & Moisture Assessment

Our IAC2-certified inspector walks the property, identifies suspect areas, and uses thermal imaging plus moisture meters to map active or recent moisture intrusion.

  2. Step 02

    Sampling

We collect 3–6 air samples (one outdoor control + interior samples), plus surface samples from any visible growth. Samples are chain-of-custody-shipped same day.

  3. Step 03

    Lab Analysis

Our AIHA-accredited lab partners return spore counts and species identification within 3–5 business days.

  4. Step 04

    Findings & Recommendations

We deliver a written report comparing interior to outdoor baseline, flagging elevated species, and recommending remediation only when the data supports it.

Pricing

FAQs

Common questions

If you can see it, you need it cleaned regardless. Testing matters when the question is whether unseen mold is contaminating the air — for example, after water damage, before purchase, or when occupants have unexplained respiratory symptoms.
Sampling on-site takes about an hour. Lab results return in 3–5 business days. You receive the full written report within 1 business day of receiving lab data.
No — and that's intentional. We test only, so our findings aren't biased toward selling you remediation. If remediation is warranted, we refer you to vetted, independent contractors.
Yes. Coastal humidity, slab-on-grade homes, aging plumbing, and tight modern construction all contribute. We find elevated mold in roughly 1 in 5 homes we test — often in places homeowners had no idea about.
