Trident Inspection Group is committed to ensuring that our digital experience is accessible to all visitors, including those with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
1. Our commitment
We believe accessible information is foundational to good service, not an afterthought. We design and develop our website with accessibility in mind from the start, treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility, and prioritize remediation when issues are reported.
2. Conformance standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
3. Accessibility features
Our website includes the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML structure with logical heading hierarchy
- Skip-to-content link on every page
- Visible keyboard focus indicators
- Alternative text for informative images
- Sufficient color contrast (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or function
- Form labels and instructions associated with every input
- Aria-labels and roles where standard semantics are insufficient
- Reduced motion respected via the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query - Compatibility with screen readers and voice navigation
4. Accessibility widget
Our site includes an on-page accessibility widget (the gold accessibility icon in the lower-right corner). The widget provides controls for:
- Text size scaling (90%, 100%, 110%, 125%, 150%)
- High-contrast mode
- Grayscale mode
- Link highlighting
- Pause animations
- Readable-font (sans-serif) substitution
- Reading guide ruler
- Cursor enlargement
All widget settings persist via localStorage and can be reset at any time.
5. ADA compliance
We are committed to compliance with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Unruh Civil Rights Act (California Civil Code §51), and California's parallel disability rights statutes. We perform regular accessibility audits and address remediation requests promptly.
6. Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content on the site may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. Known limitations include:
- Some legacy PDF reports may not be fully tagged for screen readers — accessible alternatives are available on request
- Third-party embedded content (e.g., Google Maps) may not fully meet our internal standards
- Older blog images may lack detailed alternative text — we are actively remediating these
If you encounter a barrier, please report it (see “Feedback and assistance” below) and we will address it as quickly as possible.
